Turning your Rochester, NY area basement into a home office is relatively simple and uncomplicated. If you have a finished basement that’s ready for occupation, you’ll enjoy the flexibility that a home office will give you. With your own home office, you can take care of office work at home, and deal with last minute office work. A home office is also an ideal set up if you do a lot of all your work from home. Forget the kitchen table or the corner of your bedroom -- simply convert the basement into a home office, and watch the increase in productivity!
Fortunately, a home office is easy and inexpensive to set up. A large office table, a comfy chair with adequate beck and head support and some storage space are all you need to kick start your home office. Ensure that lighting is always efficient, and high on visibility, but low on glare. You will spend a lot of time in your home office staring at your compute monitor or going through files and letters, and avoiding eye strain is very important. Add a few cheerful touches to your home office to relive the monotony of the place -- a few throw pillows on a couch, a few potted plants even places near the basement windows.
More and more people are opting to set up a home office to increase productivity and enhance comfort. All you have to do to get started on your basement home office project is to fill out the form, and you’ll hear from up to 4 of our most reputed contractors in the Rochester area. You will get free estimates for your project, and all at absolutely no obligations!
We have approximately 800 unfinished square feet in our basement. We are looking for estmiates... the ceilings are too low (it used to be an outdoor cellar), you have to duck your head under the doorway on your way down the stairs, we have 4 windows that need to be replaced (maybe make 2 of them egress windows, we would like to add a bedroom, a rec room and a bathroom down there, along with a storage space and possibly a laundry area. We also have a large crawl space around the perimeter. Our home is 100 years old, and we are looking to stay with the craftsman style of the home. Thanks.
